  • There’s nothing more exciting than welcoming a new baby. Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) offers a variety of in-person and virtual prenatal classes to help you prepare for your growing family.

    On this page, you will be able to review the listing of classes with dates, times and convenient on-line registration.

    As a partner in your care, Prenatal Classes and Hospital Tours are offered to families choosing to birth at one of LVHN's Family Birth and Newborn Centers.

    A confirmation email from Lehigh Valley Health Network - Parent Education will be sent to your email for each class you successfully register.

    It is recommended to attend your class(es) and tour between your 28th to 36th week of pregnancy. Please schedule as close to this time frame as possible.

  • Breastfeeding Part II and Returning to Work

    Breastfeeding Baby Class-Part I must be completed prior to attending Breastfeeding Part II and Returning to Work. This class may also be attended after your baby is born.

  • You have selected an In-Person Preparing for Labor and Childbirth, therefore you do not need to register for Preparing for Labor and Childbirth Practice Session. This practice session is only needed for those who are attending a virtual class.

  • You have registered for a Labor and Birth Practice Session, please dress in comfortable clothes and bring a mat or large towel/blanket for floor activity. Birthing balls will be available for your convenience.

  • Hospital Tours for Expecting Parents

    Take an in-person tour to see inside the labor and delivery and mother-baby unit.  The Hospital Tour is for the expectant mother and birth partner only. Children are not permitted to attend the Maternity Tour. Please visit our sibling virtual tour.
